hyflux woes

Once a stellar company,Hyflux is increasingly facing the inevitable fate of bankcruptcy.
A few years ago, several investors bought huge amount of perpetuals securities totalling hundreds of thousands. These people bought them thinking that it was a safe bet.
Yet Hyflux auditor KPMG never did advise on the massive debts that taken by the company a few years back.
Do you think the auditor need to take some blame on the issue?Do you think they may be more companies defaults in time to come?

KPMG will not had anticipate that Hyflux is not able to clear those debts. It is a rough path for Hyflux now, hopefully it will not have a sad ending. Reply
