Should chewing gum be back in Singapore? Why?

Chewing gum is banned in Singapore under the Regulation of Imports and Exports (Chewing Gum) Regulations. One of the objectives of the ban was to prevent vandals from using spent chewing gums to disrupt Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) services.

i think that it is best that chewing gum should be banned. this is because even though many of us still smuggle it in, knowing that it is banned, we are very careful when disposing the gum. instead of unbanning it, where people will most likely dispose the gum as when and where they’d like, causing our environment to be dirtier.
