How do you feel about the rainbow Poppy.

The Pride organisers were promptly attacked on social media for incorporating a rainbow into the traditional design of the poppy, which is sold by the Royal British Legion to commemorate war dead and raise funds for veterans.

In my opinion the theme the colour in the design of the puppy should never be changed. It is historical -it is made for remembrance of our veterans.

The reason poppies are used to remember those who have given their lives in battle is because they are the flowers which grew on the battlefields after World War One ended. They were nott rainbow in colour.
