Easter Flowers - comment for a chance to win 1,000 points!
Closed

Easter usually symbolises rebirth, and flowers play a big part in the traditions and symbolism as the northern hemisphere enters springtime.

Did you know that white lilies, although often used at funerals, are also traditional Easter flowers as they symbolise purity and innocence? What flowers and plants do you associated with Easter? Do you keep any plants or fresh flowers in your home, and what are your favourite types?

Share your opinions below and we'll select five of our favourite comments to win 1,000 points each!
Points will be credited to winners betwen 5-15 April.

My church will always have a huge table flower arrangement of white lilies at Good Friday / Easter. Symbolises the resurrection of Jesus.
I also like to do a vase arrangement of white lilies at home occasionally to exude the luring fragrance. If there no good blooms at my usual florists, a simple vase arrangement of red or yellow orchird will also brighten up the house

Easter Lily, Tulips & Daffodil are considered as the more popular Easter flowers. Daffodil symbolizes the arrival of new life while Tulips are symbols of love, belief & forgiveness. Currently, we do not keep any flowers or plants at home but I will love to keep some in the near future as these looks very pretty & also hope to use these flowers to brighten up & beautify my home.

Though we do not buy or keep flowers at home, I have a liking for Easter Lily and Spring Tulip.
With trumpet pedals shaping outwards, and a smooth white outlook embodied by a fresh fragrance, the Easter Lily symbolises life, hope and purity. Hence, people chose this to commemorate the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.
With energy arising from its storage bulb, tulips rise from winter hibernation and bloom early and healthily in the springtime. They have a distinctive bell-shaped blossom that looks like a spherical Easter egg.
Therefore, Easter Lily and Spring Tulip closely relate to Easter.
